Mon, May 1, 2006 - 11:17 PMI can't say I really go around promoting my site, but I think leaving comments and a link to yours on other blogs it ups your popularity. I don't mean spam, of course, but leaving real comments about their posts. I think it also makes you show higher on Google search results since you basically have a lot of sites linking back to yours. -

Promotion: Honestly, I don't. I write for me and if people read it, cool, if they don't, cool. I have had a livejournal for about 6 years now and I know that there's a downfall to getting loads of feedback: Not writing what you want to write, what is interesting to you.
I don't know how many people go to my blog, but I like that I am expressing myself.

Sat, June 10, 2006 - 7:58 AMI don't specifically promote my blog either. I think being here on tribe is beneficial as is gather.com. A couple generic ways to boost readership is to set your personal email acct to insert your blogsite address at the end of your email and to make comment on other blogs you find interesting.
