I've noticed since all the censorship started, that posts are less and less. Is everybody leaving Tribe.net? If so are there better sites? If not, then where is everybody hanging these days?

most people stopped posting long before the new TOS went into effect. it started slowing down last Oct. the only tribe i belong to that posts regularly is the Burningman one.

I don't know; I'm still here. I belong to close to 300 tribes and haven't run out of things to do yet--in fact, I have added more than half again as many friends as I had since the censorship began. The networks are what hooked me on Tribe, and mine are, by and large, still strong. I'm developing friendships that are turning into real-time friendships (no mean feat when one lives in Ohio, considering how many SF Bay area Tribemembers there are...).

It may have to do with the demographic you hang with?

i find that many of the other tribes i belong to still post, even if it is only one or two posts a day. i think time is the remedy. people who have left, left angry. when the anger cools and they miss the people they met in tribe, many may well return. i also belong to myspace.com, but it is sooo young and feels like a popularity contest to me. high school after high school. i would be willing to check out other free networking networks as well(in addition to tribe), but i don't know of any others. and of course, friendster sucks. :>
in the meantime, i would say enjoying and engaging the beautiful souls that are still here is the best remedy for the loss you are probably feeling.

If you, David, or others would like to build/rebuild/strengthen your networks, I invite you to invite yourself into my circle.

I think that our friendship circles are an excellent way to bridge the gaps that have been left in our Tribe lives by mature tribes being forced to go private, etc.

Even though I personally think that the new TOS rules are ridiculous, I have no intentions of leaving Tribe anytime soon. I've met some wonderful people through Tribe and don't really want to lose that contact. I still find plenty to do and read on Tribe. I am also looking to meet new people and found that Tribe is one of the best ways to meet (in cyberspace or in person).

When I joined this tribe, there was an active group of posters here. Over time, as more people joined, the original posters seemed to step aside. Many of us have met 'off-line' and connect that way. The spark that drew me to this, and to Tribe.net, is gone. Honestly, I do not know where everyone hangs anymore.

This tribe and many others was a great place to meet people, have fun, share ideas, etc. All the tribes seem to have died off, especially after the changes.

I know that I haven't been around as much and hell, I'm the moderator. :)
